HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
The Hospitality Ministry, also known as the "Kitchen Committee," was established
over twenty years ago. We began with the purpose of providing meals to families
following the funeral of a church member. This Ministry continues to provide
this service. We now assist with the serving of meals for others who are not
church members, but
are related to members of the church. In addition to assisting and preparing
food for a variety of church-sponsored dinners and meetings, we also prepare
breakfast every fourth Sunday.
The Hospitality Ministry is one of the most called-upon ministries of the
Church, and always responds with tasty food, served with a smile. We are always
seeking the help of new members in our ministry.

water to drink

JUNIOR USHER MINISTRY
The Junior Usher Ministry is a group of young servants of God that serve Union
Baptist Church on youth Sunday. We are lead by God under the direction of our
Pastor to ensure that our worship services are carried out with respect and
reverence. We guide the congregation to seats in an orderly fashion. We strive
to provide a pleasant atmosphere of warmth and welcome to our church home. A
smiling face extends an attitude of hospitality that says "Welcome we're glad
you're here!".
Ushers are the first people to greet church worshippers. As door keepers we meet
and greet the congregation as they enter the sanctuary. We are expected to be
courteous and well disciplined while on our post. We are considered first in
line to take care of any Pastoral and congregational needs.
We assist the Deacons during the offertory period by passing the collection
plates always with a smile and a thank you. We greet all visitors with a welcome
to Union Baptist Church card to record their visit.
We are here to be helpful whenever or wherever needed.
