HOMELESS MINISTRY
The UBC Homeless Ministry was started under the leadership of our Pastor, Rev.
Simeon D. Spencer. The purpose of the Ministry is to provide care and basic
needs to people in the community so they can reach and maintain an optimal
quality of life.
The dedicated volunteers in this Ministry served their first meal in 1998, and
continue to feed the needy on the first and third Saturdays of each month. We
also provide clothing, blankets, shoes, and coats to members of the community.
Fresh meats are brought for each meal and we routinely serve between 40 and 140
persons at each seating.
We are grateful to the UBC membership for their generous and continuing support
they provide to our Ministry with clothing and donations to buy food.
The Homeless Ministry meets each third Monday evening of the month.
