DEACON'S MINISTRY

The Deacon's Ministry is an ordained group of men, which is one
of two biblical offices. The other is the office of the Pastor. The Deacon's responsibility is to assist the Pastor with the overall operation of the church, focusing on the welfare of the Church membership. Some of our main responsibilities are to visit the sick, address
the various concerns of the church, aid the poor and needy, serve communion, pray for the Church, and assist the Pastor with the overall operation of the Church. The Pastor and Deacons also administer the Benevolent and Mission funds of the Church, which aid those who experience financial difficulties and support local and worldwide mission work.

Acts 6: 2-4
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, "It is not reason that we should leave the work of God, and serve tables. 3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, who we may appoint over this business. 4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

DEACONESS MINISTRY

Now in its second century, the Deaconess Ministry is a Body of Christian women called for Evangelism Service in the Body of Christ. We are women who offer intercessory prayers and attend prayer meetings and Bible study regularly.

As Deaconesses, we minister to the bereaved, sick, and shut-in through visiting, sending cards, flowers, and monetary gifts. We serve wherever and whenever we are needed in the Church and community.

The Deaconess Ministry assists the Deacon Ministry and Pastoral Ministry by preparation of the table for Holy Communion and preparing candidates for Baptism Services. We are also a tithing Ministry.

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
