COMPUTER RESOURCE CENTER (CRC)

The Computer Resource Center was implemented in September, 1998. It is the goal of the Computer Resource Center Ministry to provide enrichment activities and tutorial services for our children in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics through the use of technology. Classes are also available for adults.

Participants will acquire the following skills:

. basic keyboarding skills
. use of a variety of programs and software . creation of a word processing document . basic file management
. using spreadsheets
. newspaper layouts and designs
. desktop publishing
. brochures/greeting cards/ banners
. importing a graphic
. surfing the web
. E- mail

CONSOLATION MINISTRY

On behalf of the Union Baptist Church family, it is the responsibility of the Consolation Ministry to provide coordinated support for church members in times of bereavement.

This Ministry visits families in need to offer spiritual and emotional support through scripture readings, group prayer, and the singing of
hymns of praise and faith. Family members are encouraged to express their grief in a caring, supportive environment, as well explore issues relating to their faith and the loss of their loved one.

If the family is in need of a home-cooked meal, the meal is prepared by one of the church ministries and normally provided within 24 hours of the family's request. On the day of the funeral, the Hospitality Ministry is available to help by preparing a meal for the family and friends of the bereaved.
